32 unit heavy knight.png

The heavy knight is an upgrade from the standard knight, and can be obtained by researching the "Knight to Heavy Knight" tech at a stable, after unlocking the upgrade with gems. It is, as the name suggests, a bit heavier than a normal knight. It has better armor and HP, but also deals slightly more damage. Just like the knight, it is excellent at killing archers, siege weapons, and infantry, but it struggles against fortifications, and pikemen and lancers spell certain death for a heavy knight. It is recommended to use these cavalry in groups, as they are very tough to kill, and even a small group can typically reach their targets before succumbing to ranged fire. Heavy knights are affected by the "Cavalry Armor (1 and 2)" and "Sword Mastery (1 and 2)" techs available at the blacksmith. When fully upgraded, they are truly a force to behold.
